Schill+Seilacher GmbH
In 1877, the world market for leather and chemical products was replenished with one of the most persistent players. Schill+Seilacher GmbH was founded by Christoph Seilacher and his son-in-law Karl Schill in the German city of Heilbronn. In the early years, production was focused on leather products. The continued success of the operation led to the expansion of production, the relocation of production facilities closer to Stuttgart and the introduction of several additional production lines with various chemical products.
Since 1925, the company entered the international European market. During the war in the 40s, the factories of the German manufacturer were partially destroyed, then rebuilt. Today both production sites operate autonomously:
Lines of special chemicals for the rubber industry have been established in Hamburg – defoamers, silicone emulsions, polymer dispersions, latex consumables;
In Böblingen, chemicals are produced for the production and processing of fibers, textiles, paper, leather, additives for cosmetics and household chemicals.
In the early 1980s, the brand entered and established itself in the American market, forming the Struktol Company of America in Ohio, and then opening branches in Vila Rica, Georgia, and Pirna in Germany.
Today, the company is represented by six production facilities, providing jobs for more than 1,000 employees, sustainable international collaboration and development based on the principles of environmental friendliness and social responsibility.
